Polyeurathane plastic that melts in high heat and cannot be plastic welded and actual ABS plastic that can.
Most large 600 and 1000cc sport bike fairings that are being made are the ABS type but the smaller bikes are usually the former polyeurathane type. Can yours be plastic welded? Your crash also unfortunately does not prove that normal plastics would have faired any better....
