I imagine what you are looking to do wouldn't be too hard with a little creative imagination.

The first probable limiting factor with the 50/80 setup will be the length of the swingarm more than anything else. I expect an NS-1 arm would go in there fairly easily, but you will need to measure it all up to see if/how much it effects the geometry.

The front-end will obviously need changing too, because of the increased diameter of the 17"... the fender won't fit for a start! The forks for a 17" wheel will be probably be cosiderably longer. Personally I would be looking out for a set of late HRC RS125 forks, c/w wheel, disc, and caliper.

I'd certainly like to see more of the project. Maybe you'll consider subscribing later down the line and creating a "Garage" and "Build" topic in the Members Area.
