transmission oil capacity and level

ricey3 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 7:51 pm

Was checking the manual for gearbox oil amounts and can see there is no differance in qauntity between dry and wet clutches, i would of thought it would of been less for the dry clutch as prob 20% of the gearbox volume is removed, then i thought i suppose you want to run the most you can and as there is no clutch having to drag through the oil in the dry clutch motor this is why in relative terms it runs more, just because it can?

anyone got a better answer, also is there a method for checking the level or does it just go on the amount you stick in?
cheers
brendan
