MC21 Wire Splice

baron580 » Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:23 pm

Hi,

Just joined less than a week ago. Have an MC21 in great nick on the way as I write.
I was thrawling the net and everywhere for info on the NSR models, differences, good/bad points about each model and finally decided on an MC21.
Would have loved to get an MC28 SP or SE but due to budget constraints and the VERY costly and VERY messy de-restriction process I decieded on an MC21. Anyway, the MC21 is a beautiful bike and will be alot more by the time I'm finished with it.
Just a few Q's I have, if anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it.

1) If the two wire splice de-restriction is performed, will I need to re-jet?
2) Are there any washers welded into the stock pipes of the MC21?
3) Are the top front cowlings from the MC21 and MC28 interchangable and if so will the MC21 mirrors and upper stay fit the MC28 cowling?
4) Will Tyga end cans bolt straight onto the stock pipes and if so would you need to re-jet with this mod?
I know this bolt on mod will not give you any real power increase but they might make it rasp a little more. By the way, do the stock end cans have a baffle welded into them like the RGV end cans?

Thanks and a big HELLO to everybody!!!!
