Well, you can do a lot worse that "just" going the 1994 SP250 route:

  • HRC card + harness
  • HRC jet kit (& pre-mix)
  • HRC intake rectifiers
  • HRC airbox (or just open carbs)
  • HRC front head
  • Race pipes (aforementioned DogFights will do the trick!)

All that will (should!) produce a healthy, extremely tractable 60~62hp for a tight but otherwise standard MC28 motor.

The above is Fontyyy's as tested in this spec a couple of years ago, but with a stock airbox, no lid, and stock filter wired into place. It's typical of the listed modifications (with an 030 card). To get anything more substantial out of motor it will require internal modifications, however I seem to recal Fontyyy's made another 1.5hp or so and revved a couple hundred RPM higher with open carbs, which just proves that you need to do exactly what the HRC books say to make the parts work efficiently!
