I went to my local Honda dealer (Hallens of Cambridge) when I needed a new front brake lever, went something like this:
Me:Hi I need a front brake lever for an NSR 250.

Miserable shop employee: We dont have one in stock.

Me: I know its a grey import but I think it might be similar to a fireblade if I can compare my broken one to a new one.

M.s.e.: we dont have any in stock

Me: What about a CBR 600.

M.s.e.: No we dont hold ANY levers in stocK!

Me: Really you dont hold any levers in stock? WHY!

M.s.e. We have a spares van deliver every day, we just ring them and its delivered the next day. I can get you one for Monday morning but if it doesnt fit you will still have to pay for it, we cant do refunds on parts we order in!

Me: Nah forget it i wouldnt want to put you to any trouble
