I've only personally ever seen one hose fail, and that was from the front wheel touching it under braking! (It was a DIY hose for HRC head conversion and no V-piece fitted at the time.)

No harm in fitting Samco hoses, but I can't see any benefit over good condition stock hoses myself. I can understand it on turbo induction systems, where high pressures are involved, but anything else is just an exercise in aesthetics I reckon. £70 is better spent on the dyno!
