With the clutch correctly stacked, it can look like there are too many plates, as the outer one protrudes just past the basket.
There should be 11 plates in total:
In order of assembly:-
- Thin steel
- Friction with damper rubbers
- Thick steel
- Standard friction
- Thick steel
- Standard friction
- Thick steel
- Standard friction
- Thick steel
- Standard friction
- Thick steel
Substitute the thin steel for a thick one for a cheap'n'cheerful upgrade!
