Not necessarily, in my opinion. All the modern 250 brakes are much more than adequate!

EBC disc carriers may possibly be a little lighter than OEM, and the disc material may possibly be better when matched with corresponding EBC pads, but I doubt there's a huge amount in it. I am a big fan of OEM Nissin pads, and HRC pads are Nissin part numbers! Wink

The full-floating cast iron race discs are a different matter though, but they are an acquired taste as they can feel very different to stainless ones, plus they rust when you don't use them! My 297mm HRC discs are cast iron, and coupled with HRC calipers and a Nissin radial M/C, the braking is almost dangerous now... but in a good way! Laughing

If you want a proper upgrade, be it bling or practical, or both even, source some VFR400R NC30 forks, 296mm discs, and front fender. The forks are 41mm so slot right into the NSR triples, the discs bolt straight to the NSR wheel, and everything lines up perfectly! Pretty much what an MC21-F3 front-end is, but without the HRC internals.
