oil pump questions?

JohnBlaze » Sat Jan 22, 2005 3:49 am

any of you guys know what the solenoid on the oil pump does? Im trying to get to the bottom of why cylinders are full of oil. the plugs are coated in oil as with everything else. i believe its what cause my siezure/detonation in december. damn i wish a had my digi still, that way i can take some pictures of the mess.
btw
if I were to disconnect the oil pump for a bit and run premix for some shake downs.... what ratio should I run and how many sizes should I go up on the jets. In the carbs right now is 155/152 mains, 40/40 slows, and 72/70 powers. i was running 145/142 mains when the siezure occured though.
should I just blank the power jets out? It is going to be a street bike so i kinda refrained from doing that. so sick of melting pistons. Crying or Very sad
