Best practice with the oil is to fill the reservoir to the top, and then simply top it up after each ride! If I recall correctly, the light won't come on until the level drops to about 300cc, which is more than enough for a tank full of fuel!

Make sure the (in-tank) fuel filter and fuel tap assembly are clean, and that there's no dirt or debris floating around in the fuel tank, and then just rely on the reserve position on the tap to ensure you always have enough left to make it to a filling station. You'll get a feel for it, but we all get caught out by the reserve tap from time to time, which can freak you out a bit if you are rattling on a bit at the time! Laughing

Real bikes don't have fuel guages... there's much more important things like corner speed and late braking to be thinking about than how much fuel in on the guage! Very Happy
