The fairing is certainly not original MC21SP Rothmans bodywork. There should not be vents on the top faring. The Rothmans decal between the top & side faring is not OE, as is the 'NSR 250 SP' decal next to the indicator. The HRC decal on the tail unit is not OE, the yellow number plate should have sharper edges, not rounded as it is here. There should also be a bum pad on the tail unit. The wheels do not look like Magteks, which an SP should have. Magteks have a completely plain / flush outer rim to the tyre wall. These wheels have a small lip indicating R / SE alloy rims. It also looks like this bike is running on premix, as I can't see the oil tank header bottle on the RHS on the frame near the headstock. This bike may have originally been an SP, but its Magteks have gone which now makes it exactly the same as an SE. But with non OE bodywork on the bike. None of these are reasons not to buy the bike, but its important for potential buyers to understand what they are buying, particularly if they are first time NSR buyers. A useful comparision is my MC21SP Rothmans, check the garage pics.
