I'm not convinced by wheel balancing on bikes. More likely either the head bearings are knackered or the discs (less likely) are warped which is causing an out-of-balance sensation.

My Magteks aren't balanced, and the stick-on weights on my Enkies fell off a long time ago (in a galaxy far far away!) and neither cause me any problems. Shagged NC35 discs that some 400GB twot sold me caused some issues before, but I've never personally had any problems with NSR discs.

If the front sprocket is that shagged, you will most likely need a chain and a rear sprocket too. It's a false economy to replace just one part.
