The problem is (on the road) I tend to ride them home.

The one at Brands was trailered back to the paddock and it looks OKish, I reckon it'd run, there's a slight score down it, but as you say, if I'd been quicker on the clutch even that wouldn't be there, it didn't lock with the clutch out (I'm quicker than that) but I felt it drag, whipped the clutch in and it just died.
