Sorry if digging up this thread is against the rules, but it saved me from posting a new one.

I was going through the tangle of crap that is currently draped over my empty frame, and have seen that I have a hrc box instead of the m-max the dealer told me was in the bike when I bought it. It says HRC not for highway use along with something in japanese.

What is special about the hrc box aside from it being built by hrc?

On that note, the dealer also told me the pipes were hrc. How do I tell, as they're just flat black and the silencers aren't marked. Personally I think he was full of it, but you never know your luck in the big city.
