Your nsr will probably do a 12.5-13 second 1/4 mile if you're good at launches. All miles and miles slower than any 600 or 1000 and makes not a blind bit of difference to how well the bike performs on the road or track.
A 40bhp standard mc28 can still lap faster with a moderately good rider around a twisty track than someone on a 150bhp fireblade, so 1/4 mile times don't really prove anything.
