Seventeen year-old Chaz Davies has been nominated for the Welsh Young Sportsman of the Year Award.

The ceremony takes place in Cardiff this evening (Monday) and Davies, who put in some outstanding performances on a privateer spec 250cc KF Club Aprilia at the end of this season, has been nominated as a possible winner.

Chaz, familiar to Crash.net viewers through his 'Chaz checks in' rider column, is still weighing up his options for next year and is keen to have the most competitive machine as possible to compete in the 250cc World Championship.

"I still have an open mind about next year, but we are seeking the best machine available for me to ride next year after such a brilliant end to this season," he said.
