I'd keep the KISS CDI in place, as it negates the need to cut into the harness. It's also way cooler than any M-max box, if for no other reason than the the M-max is downright deceitful in its operation!

The M-max is just a $150 wire splice that pretends to also do a GPS splice! We've know this for years, and also told everyone for years, yet fools still go out and buy them, and even more alarming is that unscrupulous retailers will still sell them!!
