Raced my NSR for a few years, though no notable success. 13th I think was my best finish.

It was with NG road race club - or North Goloucester as they were back then.

Got fed up of getting the jetting wrong, so raced an NC30 a couple of times, though didn't fare any better.

I'd been off through injury for a eighteen months, and by that time racing had got a lot more expensive (they'd moved up to Donnington, Silverstone etc) so packed it in.

These days, to contest a full season with any hope of doing well, I reckon you'd be looking at £6000 a year...
