Always loved playing Microprose's GP2/3/4 and taking Copse close to flat, so to see it in the flesh was an eye opener. I've just read that on a qualifying lap, the entry to Copse is at 180-185mph,
with sustained corner speed of 177mph and 5.2 lateral G.... Sweet holy motha!
Shame they're boring as hell to watch on TV, but I prefer the sheer engineering that goes into the cars than the actual racing. I mean they're pretty much upside down stunt planes with wheels on their roofs!
If they got rid of all the driver aids you'd instantly have a fun sport again...
