There is so much that can be lopped off an NSR to make it a, lighter and b, easier to work on.
While a lot like to run the oil pump etc. once its removed the new found space makes engine work 10x easier.
You can also remove all the switch gear for light leaving just the kill switch.
The rear subframe can be attacked, there is a good 1" 1/2 of tubing that can be removed as well as the carry loops.
The rest of the weight can be saved with things like Tyga screen braces and clock stays, NSR-world sprocket carriers and such.
An NSR can be paired down to very little. I think Matt got his '28 down to 118kg and my '21 with a whole load of Ti bolts is now just under 117kg with a gallon of fuel.
