You're seriously over-complicating things.

Why would you want to use a pait of 125 Dellorto's? Why would you want to use Yamaha carbs and "boost" bottles?

If you have so much tuning experience with the NSR125, then surely you can just "look" at an MC16 and see what needs doing! Rolling Eyes

All the parts to make an MC16 go that little bit better are available as virtually direct "bolt-ons" (essentially turning it into an MC18 RJ motor), and there's no reason why the motor won't keep its current level of reliability if the work is done properly.

This sounds just like another thread started about 6 weeks ago. Go search for it and read what was said there.

What is it with you (ex) 125 owners? We try to keep an open mind here, but you all live in a daydream! There's no place for "exaggeration" when someone is asking for genuine advice. Telling them the motor should make 33hp while neglecting to mention this is (allegedly) crank hp is just not on - neither is telling grown-ups that an NSR125 will do 120mph.

WAKE UP!
