Tread carefully when installing "your friend's" PGM on your bike to test it. If your PGM has blown because of a fault then it's highly likely that you'll fry your friend's PGM when you fit it to your bike so they won't be your friend anymore!

Better to try your PGM on your friend's bike. If the valves are working on the other PGM, but not on yours then you can be pretty sure that your PGM is at fault.
