A thrust washer broke(left conrod) and got mashed in to little bits surface marking the counter weight part of the crank(i think thats what its called),head, barrel ports(the bores ok),piston top(not rings)and the area(engine base)under the crank .All the other parts,rods, barrel piston main bearings are ok.Jeffs seen it and say it junk,I would have to agree it must be better and cheaper to get another motor(a good one)and keep this for spares,unless... you want it and a wad of money to run a story about rebuilding a 18 motor .thanks for your help Andy is Nigel the same Nigel whos doing the Santa on bikes . both my bikes are 18s r2js,but do the r2js have 16 motors and parts as the barrels are hex shaped.
