In the online parts manual: MC21 90-93 R9L

Part Name. Relay COMP. starter (Japanese honewort)

This part is missing from my MC21SE wiring loom, when i bought the bike
it had a small piece of wire stuck in the plug bridging the 1st and 3rd pin!
Can anyone tell me what this relay controls? for example if its not there
what part of the bike will not function? what is its purpose?

Im still trying to work out why my PV servo is not working properly, and
thought this may have something to do with it?
