I'll wager the customery 50p a bit of ring left floating around in the crankcase got sucked up, as for £90 labour they did not take the crank out and check everything.
Andy did the same trick, spun a ring, didn't take the crank out, chucked it back togeather with another cylinder and siezed again about 1/2 an hour later.
When I took mine to Apex ages ago Garry didn't quite insist on taking the crank out but he did advise it fairly strongly as a tonne of chrome was missing from the bore. Chrome flakes knacker bearing as well as causing seizures like bit's of ring do
