thermostat replacement help

panda_crx » Sat Apr 29, 2006 9:24 am

hey guys

i've got an MC21SE and it's started overheating. i can start it up to warm it up but it's fine but after less than a kilometre the temperature skyrockets

i'm new to bikes but i figured it's the thermostat seeing as i have plenty of coolant (unless anyone else has any suggestion?)

anyay after pulling the fairings, seat, tank etc i was a lil daunted at the location of what looks like the thermostat (up near top spark plug?)
what is the best way to tackle it?

from the top?
side?

i had a quick look from the top and it looks like gotta move/remove the wires in that box and the throttle cable?

any tips would be appreciated, pics would be even better.

also as far as i know there are no service manuals in english? i've looked online but havent found anything

thanks in advance

-Lozz
