Transmission vs. Crank Case Oil

tuanmynsr » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:27 pm

Transmission/gear oil is separate from the Crank case oil, yes? The crank case / bearing gets it's oil from the 2 stroke oil, yes? So, is there always going to be visible signs of oil in the crankcase? I am rebuilding the top end and looking down the crank case from the top, I notice there is a puddle of oil in there more than usual. Is this normal?
