Leave the motor in...no need to take it out and create a bigger job than it should be. Its a bit trickey to get the top cylinder bolts out without the "special tool" bit with some tinkering and a variety of tools, you should be able to get it out. Next time I do a topend on the 28, I'll have the "special tool"
