They've gone off when you can feel they've gone off. Being blue is an indication you've worked them hard and I believe it's the oils coming out of the rubber, but doesn't neccessarily mean they're knackered.

I raced half a season on GPR70's and they were fine, though you do less laps racing than track daying. I changed them when I could feel them moving around more than I expected them to.
