Hi motulman - my '16 has two CDI units that simply have 'Shindengen' written on the back, each have two plugs, one with 4 'teeth' and the other with 2. My battery sits in a molded tray that is connected directly to the airbox. Its a bastard to get out from under the frame so the last owner of your bike probably just cut it off, not a bad idea really Im confused myself at the moment as some bits on my bike seem to be from later models, don't know why I didn't buy an RGV to be honest as the customer support is just miles ahead for Suzuki here in New Zealand.
