Second that. If the loom is standard, then unless it's chaffed through some of it's insulation it'll be fine. (And that's damned unlikely).

The power valve motor drawing too much current is the most likely culprit in killing the PGM, so as Andy says, disco the cables and you shoul dbe okay.

By the way, you should be able to move the valves by hand with the ignition off, so if you can't they're seized up and need cleaning. Do it before they do you!
