staggered jetting?

motulman » Sun Dec 18, 2005 8:45 am

hello everyone educate me, on these bikes mc16/18 or all nsr's in general do ya run different jetting in each carb? and if so why in a previouse post regarding spark plugs so they mentioned running a cooler plug in the hotter cyl does the same apply here but i dont get why you would need to run one side richer because of heat on a water cooled engine? heat is the only reason i can think of to run staggered jetting and the only reason i ask about staggered jetting is because on the bike i just bought i was checking it out like i do with all 2 strokes i buy and found different jetting in the back cyl as opposed to the front cyl, it had a different main jet and a different pilot jet so...i asked some of our 2 stoke nutz here and some said that they thought it ran a staggered jet setup but the pilots should be the same only the main jet should be staggered...thanks all sorry if i ramble alittle Very Happy
