A motorcycle race based on the Isle of Man TT is to be held in Canada.
Isle of Man Department of Tourism and Leisure Minister David Cretney was at last weeks announcement of the Cape Breton Festival of speed, the first road race of its kind to be held in North America.
The event will be held on a thirty-one and a half mile long circuit at the end of September next year.
Isle of Man TT winner Ian Lougher has already made clear his intention to take part in the event.
The Welshman says the course is very similar to the one on the Island except it isn’t lined by pubs and stonewalls – one he will miss, the other he will not miss!
