Clutch drag - MC16

mat grant » Mon Oct 10, 2005 3:11 pm

Hi all,

Today while the NSR fairing lowers are off while I try to fix the coolant leak, I thought I'd adjust the clutch, which since I've had it, has had a bite point right near the handlebar and loads of clutch drag once warmed up.

So I adjusted it so the bite point was right near the end (other end) of the lever travel, to the extent it would slip a bit on full acceleration, but the clutch was still dragging.

I hve now set it up properly for bite point and it has quite a bit of drag when the lever is fully pulled to the bar - to the extent that to find neutral coming to a light you have to nudge it into neutral while still rolling a bit.

Has anyone had this problem? Are my clutch plates warped? Any advice appreciated! Plus any tips on how to find a coolant leak(!!!) - it's not the pipe I thought it was.

Cheers, Mat.
