Hi all.

Ensser, your PGM unit looks like it's working properly. You may need to adjust the TPS but other than that what you describe is normal.

I've never used him myself, but I have heard reports that Nick 2T-RaceLab does good PGM testing & repairs. He's in Greece, so shipping/taxes shouldn't be any issue for you.

Note: I've heard he offers "internal" derestriction, which I strongly advise against. Better to manually do our wire-splice, so you (and any future owner) know where you stand.

Thank you Andy.
I fully understand your concern about the internal derestriction and I have solved this issue from the very first day that I performed this modification.
First of, it is exactly the same as the famous wire splice only done internally. Actually, I started performing this modification after repairing quite a few PGM units that owners misread the wire splice notes, so instead of connecting Orange/ Blue wire to +12V DC, they connected the wrong end shorting and damaging the PGM unit before the fuse took action.

I always inform people when performing this mod but I copy - paste my instructions publicly here.

I also offer internal derestriction that is free of charge. Internal derestriction is not dependent on your bike, wiring loom or any derestriction boxes already fitted. Hence, you don’t need to change anything except verifying that jetting is adequate. Internal derestriction will work with or without an already modified wiring loom, with or without an HRC, MMax derestriction box etc.
PGM unit will not care and will always safely perform as derestricted on all MC21 bikes.

The above info is the same for all internally derestricted Mc18 - PGMII units as well.

I can also supply simple info for removing the internal de-restriction and getting the unit back to stock specs, but in 15 years since I've started performing this modification, no one has ever asked! Nick
