I have '92 NF5 USD forks on my MC21, and it's fantastic... but then again I'm slow! But, I'm also fat, and haven't encountered any problems. Unfortunately I can't tell you if NF5 forks are longer than NX5 forks, but even a numpty like me could feel the difference.

What I will confess though, is I do also have an HRC rear shock, wound out to MAX ride height, if that makes any difference. I've still not scraped the TYGA rearsets though, and when I did use to ride [relatively] fast, I rode more "125 style" with lean angle than hanging off.

When I ran with a '91 NF5 RWU front-end I suffered the front fender touching the underside of the headlight fairing under heavy braking... those forks really are short, but still didn't grind the pegs.

Of course, none of this helps you, Scott... I just thought I'd share it! 🤣🤣🤣
