Had seen this before. Very trick. Not sure about that 109kg claim though. My stripped MC28SP race bike weighs in at about 120kg. Helium in the tires??

I think 120kg is very good, Scott. I seem to recall the lightest I've heard of was Matt's racer at about 115kg. I'll see him this evening, so I'll ask before we've sunk too much rum, as you know first-hand what happens after that! 🤣🤣🤣 StephenRC45 got his F3 down to about the same too, but with a sh*t load of titanium, which would've been against F3 rules back in the day though.

I think the MC21 is generally about 1.5kg lighter than an MC28 "like-for-like", with the biggest difference the MC28SP rear Magtek (front's obviously an easy swap to an NF5 mag wheel) and the big lump of steel making up the axle. Some of that can naturally be mitigated with a magnesium NX5 rear wheel. (You can loose some sneaky weight using RS forks/components too, but will lose the MC28SP "blue top" appearance that most like to keep.)

As Si says, the 350LC motors are pretty heavy. I don't know exacly how heavy, but I bet they're getting on for 5-6kg more than an NSR; which is a lot of additional weight to get rid of over a conventional MC28. I think the RD bottom-end alone weighs about the same as a complete NSR motor. There will be a (usually steel) cradle to add to that too. In itself not particularly heavy, but it all adds up.

Unfortunately we're our own worst enemy here sometimes, as many of these owners know and use NSR-WORLD and follow on Facebook, but won't post here as collectively we know too much... and I've got a big gob, and will call them out on BS! They'll post/write elsewhere though, where the muppets will just lap it up without question! 🤣🤣🤣
