Bike seized. Need help

Sprintboatbob » Sat Aug 06, 2022 1:31 am

I recently purchased a 1989 NSR 250R SP From a dealer in Seattle, he said the bike road and ran well even had a YouTube video of him riding it. Now I’m guessing he only wrote it around traffic Seattle putting along and actually didn’t take it out and ride it otherwise it would’ve seized on him and not me. When I took it out the bike probably made it about 10 miles or so and probably doing about 80 miles an hour or so it sounded like a jet landing on me. I was able to get the bike started again and slowly rode it home on the side of the road. Really bummed out. Called the Guy at the dealership and he just said what a bummer no kidding. Now the bike has only 1000 km on it at least that’s what the clock says. I do have an extra set of pistons that I got with the bike have not even looked at them yet, what should I know before I start pulling this apart? Thanks in advance for any and all help I love the bike
