Geez, I thought the pic had uploaded. Second try. I put bike on rear stand. I raise the front with a standard front stand under the fork legs, position my homemade stand straddling the bike, over the triple clamp, then ratchet tie downs from the top triple (or can find spot on frame or whatever, depending on bike) to the cross bar of the stand until taut, remove the front stand, and bike stays in place at that same height, remove forks etc...if that makes sense. Can send more pics if needed. (need to include pipe sections to make "feet" for the stand for stability...can just barely see in main pic). I hope that is all clear enough.

oh, found a better pic of stand in action...hopefully it will come through.
