Hi guys,
I have a NSR SP Repsol which I bought new in 1996 and ridden regularly (even if little because I love it to be perfect). The bike used to start and run perfectly. I always drained the tank and refilled it with fresh fuel, in the past, but this time I had travel abroad for work and the bike sat without running for 4 years and did not start.
When the key is inserted, I didn't hear the usual "valves cycling open and close". The red warning light on the dash turned on. The bike won't start at all.
1. Are the exhaust valve easy to clean/accessible from the outside with solvent without taking the cylinder barrel off? Is it worth tapping the area to unstick them? 2. If the servos get stuck and the warning light is on, does the ECU cut off the spark (and that is possibly why the bike won't start)?
3. Do you know any specialist/repair shops in Connecticut capable to work with me to fix it?
Looking forward to your advice and recommended tech to work on my baby. Many thanks guys. Much appreciated:) will attach a photo so you can see the bike.
