TPS Setting Tool

Matt@TYGA » Tue Mar 17, 2020 11:38 am

Hi Guys,

As we all know, setting the TPS correctly is an important part of the procedure when trying to get the best out of your NSR.

For years I've been using jumper wires, pins, croc clips and a multimeter to do this task, and while it's not a particularly difficult job, it's always a bit of a pain as you generally need three hands.

For the most recent one I did, it thought I'd make a proper tool for the job.

Not quite finished, but works perfectly and very simple to use.

It just plugs in line with the white 3P TPS connector, and gives you a couple of visual indications when the TPS if set to the right position. All you need to do is fully open and fully closed and the LED's will light up accordingly if the TPS is set correctly.

The display will also give a visual indication, and will also tell you if the (9V) battery on board is up to the job, or needs changing.

Might be some minor tweaks before I call it finished, but essentially it's as good as done.

The housing will be 3D printed, but not sure of colour yet. I quite like the silver, but Andy is insisting it's black. He likes his dark settings Smile

Interested to hear your comments.

Matt
