Collant pipe

Seizedup » Wed Jan 17, 2018 4:54 pm

Chaps, I've just received my MC21 cylinders back from re-plating. The platers removed all of the head and exhaust studs as well as the pressed in steel spigot pipe that the coolant pipe connects to. This pipe appears to be an interference fit in the cylinder casting so I intend to press it back in place however I was wondering whether I should apply some sort of sealant as well i.e. gasket sealant or stud lock to keep it in place and to ensure a watertight seal when under pressure. Any thoughts?
