NSR250R Wet Clutch Strength?

Username » Sat Sep 30, 2017 11:55 am

Hi...is the MC21 and MC28 wet clutch strong? and would it handle a Tyga exhaust & muffler upgrade?

I've been told wet clutches can take more abuse and frequent stop/starting in traffic better...though a dry clutch doesn't rob the engine of as much horsepower?

I was working at buying an MC21 or MC28 a few years ago...though it never eventuated.

I'm going to start working at it again soon...and am just trying to decide what clutch type to go for.

My suburb is a fairly built up residential area that has heavy traffic frequently.

I will be using RVF400 USD forks and Tyga rear shock at this stage...so aren't bothered by getting an R model that has inferior suspension to the SE and SP models.

Just wondering how strong and durable the wet clutches are.

Thanks! Very Happy
