Hello Haplo, and welcome to NSR-WORLD.

For the type of use/stress/wear you would put on an NSR in gymkhana, I seriously doubt it will have any serious impact on costs and problems of parts availability once your competition package has been established.

Once you have built a solid motor, which is going to be pretty expensive regardless of which 90s make/model you buy, the rest of the parts are just run-of-the-mill consumables... wheel bearings, brake pads, tyres etc. A Koyo wheel bearing is a Koyo wheel bearing; a set of EBC or Brembo pads is a set of EBC/Brembo pads; a pair of Supercorsas are a pair of Supercorsas! It doesn't matter what bike they're for, they're all similarly priced.

Sure, some parts are harder to get, but as you say, the internet makes the world a very small place, and I expect Rob will be happy to help you out if you get stuck too. What's really commanding good money these days is top condition OEM bodywork. Something that will be of no consequence to you because all you want is a lightweight GRP seat unit.

We are part of a Honda Main Dealer and can supply many OEM parts that you may require, and the Euro (and everything else at the moment! Embarassed ) is strong against the GB£ making us very competitive to buy from, plus you also have TYGA Performance who ship worldwide and carry an extensive range of parts in stock.
