I got the frame from Japan last year and have been slowly building it up,It has SP front and rear susp,EBC I managed to get hold of a pair of early RS 250 magteks, floating discs,rear cyl head conv,HRC loom and box,F3 carbs K&N air pods,and a JHA exhaust system,And some later type Coerce rearsets,I bought the engine from a dealer in Derby it was almost seized and after I dismantled it I believe it was a tsunami victim, the crank and barrels were shot with rust,It had been raced in Japan it was wired with rear head chop,so a rebuilt crank,a pr of SP barrels and pistons all new bearings throughout and a full vapour on the engine casings and it was good to go,
Les came round last week with his rear wheel starter and it fired up straight away a bit rich but safe,after 10 mins and 60c I took it for a little squirt down the estate and at first I thought I selected the wrong gear with the race shift only to find it has a HRC gear kit with a very tall 1st gear,So were off to Brands on the 30 th and I will try it out with a few laps,
